Vashon Island Ride
Vashon Island is just a short trip from West Seattle via ferry
to get you to some of the best cycling in the area.

The island is loaded with plenty of sparcely traveled roads
with scenic views of the sound, but what it is known for is hills.

From the moment you leave the ferry till you get to the end of the ride
you always seem to be going up hill, and up hill again without end.
|
Thus, when we got to a nice beach for swimming you better bet
that a few cyclists decided it was time for a relaxing swim to cool off.
|
And the rest of the group found some nice park benches to lounge
in the sun, which we don't often get in the Pacific Northwest.

As with all fun bicycle rides, they are soon over
and all have to return home till another day of cycling.
