Defiance Park - Tacoma Narrows Bridge
Starting from Thea's Park members bike first to Point Defiance Park
and then across the Tacoma Narrows Bridge to Gig Harbor.

This is a very scenic route that starts with several miles
along Commencement Bay leading everyone to the park.

Inside Point Defiance Park, the route follows Five Mile Drive
circling the point giving everyone scenic views of Puget Sound.
|
From the park the route takes the new Tacoma Narrows Bridge
bike trail to Gig Harbor for refreshments and socializing.
|
The return trip goes back up over the bridge and through
Tacoma on bike trails and lightly traved urban streets.
|
The final leg of the route goes through some very scenic older sections
of Tacoma on its way back to Commencement Bay and Thea's Park.
