Social and Intermediate Riders will only use the first 8 miles of the trail (all paved)
before switching to all country roads with both rolling terrain as well as a few very
good hill climb challenges.
Beginning Riders will want to bring snacks and lunch supplies with them so they can picnic
at the Seattle Water Park at trail end. Social Riders will have a midway stop at the
intersection of SR-169 at Witte Road with a good selection of places to eat
(Subway, Taco del Mar, QFC,...). Intermediate Riders will have a midway stop at the
Black Diamond Bakery.

Ride Details:
Since we don't have a halloween ride in our Maps Library, I asked
David Robinson of the
Cascade Bicycle Club if he would mind if SBTC
members attended his famous annual Le Tour de Morte Ride.
I have ridden on David's ride several times in the past twelve years and it is like
the most fun Halloween Ride I have ever attended. Thus, you can imagine when David
responded "yes" that SBTC members were most welcome, I was more than pleased.
David rates his ride as a moderate, stay together
and I told him that I would lead a leisure/social
pace if needed so that all SBTC members could attend if they wanted.
CBC Website Ride Details:
We're dying to have you join us on our 12th annual ever-so-popular Halloween ride.
We'll complete the new route we started last year, touring 13 cemeteries and other
suitable sites. All friendly ghosts, goblins, wizards, witches and warlocks are welcome. Costumes are optional, and you must be able to ride in them. This is a popular ride--be
ready to ride with 40-50 or more of your scariest and most fun friends. Also, be ready
for a few hills--ghosts love their views. We tend to ride at the lower end of moderate
and are not in a hurry. (If you're looking for a training ride, this isn't it.) Lunch
afterward at a ghoulishly good Chinese restaurant. (Please leave the front parking
spots at Verity open for ATM customers.)
