Ride from Seattle to Vancouver & Party

Members and their friends get up early in the morning
for one of the best rides of the year - the RSVP.

The ride starts from the Cascade Bicycle Headquarters in Seattle
and takes members north to Snohomish and Mount Vernon.

From Mount Vernon everyone goes west to Chuckanut Drive
which follows the banks of Padilla Bay to Bellingham.

From here riders head straight north through scenic farmland
to Lynden with it's Dutch Heritage and Holland appearance.

Just north of Lynden is the US Border where IDs are checked
and everyone is given the go ahead to continue riding in Canada.

Here we ride past scenic rural farms on our way to Fort Langley
where we cross the Fraser River via an old time river ferry boat.

Across the river we head west following along the Lougheed Hwy
through the towns of Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows and Port Coquitlam.

As you can see by the pictures we also make lots of stops
to take in local culture as well as have fun.

Once we hit the outskirts of Vancouver we pick up local bike trails
first to Chinatown, then Gastown and the Financial District.

After a quick visit to the after ride party everyone
cleans up for a fun evening of socializing in the city.

After a good night's rest in hotel or hostel, we all slowly
make our way home to Seattle with friends or on the bus.
